Nunastar Properties Inc. owns and manages residential and commercial real estate properties in Iqaluit, Nunavut. These properties consist of 296 apartment units and approximately 11,000 sq ft of commercial retail space.
The apartments include 200 units in two (40 in the 6-storey and 160 in the 8-storey) apartment buildings and are attached to the Astro Hill shopping complex. As well, Creekside Village is a row housing complex, adjacent to Astro Hill, with 6 row house buildings containing 96 units.
Units vary between a combination of bachelor and 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom apartments.
The Astro Hill shopping complex, also owned managed by Nunastar, includes apartment buildings, a hotel, restaurant, and retail shops. The mall area offers residents complete indoor access to many amenities including a convenience store, the Frobisher Inn, the Caribrew Cafe, the Gallery Restaurant, the Storehouse Bar & Grill, a pharmacy, video store, movie theatre, swimming pool, government offices and the studios of the CBC.

The Frobisher Inn - Iqaluit, Nunavut
The Frobisher Inn, located in Iqaluit, is the largest full-service business hotel in Nunavut. With 95 rooms, a 200 person capacity conference room, smaller meeting rooms, dining room (Gallery Dining Room), bar (Storehouse Bar & Grill), coffee shop (Caribrew Cafe) and free high speed Internet, it is the preferred hotel for business and leisure travelers. The Frobisher is located in the Astro Hill mall with indoor connections to a pharmacy, grocery store, video rentals, swimming pool, bank machine, movie theatre, government offices, and the CBC.
The hotel has been in business for over 30 years but was expanded and fully renovated in the early 2000’s.
Explorer Hotel - Yellowknife NWT
The Explorer Hotel is the pre-eminent full-service business hotel in Yellowknife, NWT. At 187 rooms, it is the largest hotel in Yellowknife along with offering the largest (350 person capacity) full-service banquet facilities in the North, a full-service restaurant, and a lounge.
The Explorer has been in business for over 30 years and along with adding 60 new rooms in 2008, has been fully renovated.
